Your review of Far Cry 2 hit the nail on the head. I agreed 100%. Loved the first Far Cry (on X-box) but hated this one for all reasons listed. Would like to add that we still play Instincts every week on split screen because of the map editor. And while the new map editor may be better in hundreds of ways it sucks because it is not fun to play.
Worst of all is lack of split screen and NO ABILITY TO PLACE INDIVIDUAL WEAPONS. If I build an awesome sniper point or something let me put a fucking sniper gun there. Thats all………………
